On June 28, 2017, UP Regent Francis C. Laurel visited the Dairy Training and Research Institute (DTRI) with Mr. Arcadio Gapanganda and Mr. Virgilio Monzones of BENACORN Corporation in Alaminos, Laguna and three foreign investors who are interested to invest in dairy in the country. The foreign investors were introduced to UPLB by Regent Laurel. They were Mr. Adam Pretty from Australian Livestock (Australia), Mr. Yulianthony Queen of Wellard Co. (Indonesia) and Mr. Loi Tee Ee of the Holstein Company (Malaysia). This was very timely as UPLB is considering to look for possible private investors to help develop the Laguna-Quezon Land Grant (LQLG) by developing pasture areas and bringing in 2000 head of dairy cattle. As requested by UPLB Chancellor Fernando C. Sanchez Jr., the group was met by  the UPLB Land Grant Management Office Manager, Dr. Gil Villancio and his staff and the Dairy Training and Research Institute (DTRI) Director, Dr. Amado A. Angeles and staff. They were given a briefing about the Land Grant and the dairy operation at DTRI. After the briefing and short discussion, they were toured to the DTRI Dairy Processing Plant and then proceeded to the LQLG in Siniloan with Dr. Villancio and his staff. (Text by Myrna S.
