This program aims to educate students towards a career in scientifically-based sustainable agriculture, to enable them to develop and effectively manage a self-reliant and economically viable agriculture-related enterprise and to prepare them to become professionals with social commitment.

Master of Science in Animal Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science

Advanced study in animal science equips graduates to handle key positions in government, academic institutions, and private companies. Graduates become employed as managers, supervisors, faculty members, researchers, consultants, practitioners, technicians. They also create opportunities for others as farm entrepreneurs.

Graduate study in the field of Animal Science covers a variety of specializations which includes Animal Breeding, Animal Physiology, Animal Nutrition, Animal Production, Dairy Technology and Meat Science (for MSc only).

Those who have passion for learning, have intentions of improving animal productivity, and hold a BS or MS, is encouraged to consider graduate studies in animal science.

Areas of specializations include the following:

MS in Animal Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology, Animal Production or Meats. The MS ANSC program requires a minimum of 31 units, these are 15 units of major courses, 9 units of minor courses, 1 unit of seminar and 6 units of thesis.

PhD in Animal Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology or Animal Production. The PhD ANSC program requires a minimum of 37 units, these are 15 units of major courses, 9 units of cognate courses, 1 unit of seminar and 12 units of dissertation.
